Meet the dynamic duo behind Sawdust Sawdos LLC – Les and Amanda Sawdo! Proud Door County locals (or as Les humorously puts it, "locos" for sticking around during the busy season), this husband-and-wife team brings creativity and passion to their woodworking venture.

Amanda had dreamed of starting a laser engraving business for years, but the timing never felt quite right. When Les was diagnosed with a herniated disc in his back in 2024, and it was uncertain if he would ever return to work, they decided it was time to turn that business dream into reality. With a little guidance from a friend, they dove headfirst into the world of woodworking and laser cutting.

Since November 2024, it's been an exciting journey of learning and growth. Amanda handles the design, laser engraving, and administrative side of things, while Les, the idea guy, crafts blanks for larger projects using saws and routers, and assists with assembly and packaging.

When they're not busy in the workshop or showcasing their creations at markets and craft fairs, Les and Amanda love spending time with their fur babies, kayaking, and working on landscaping projects at their home.
